Peloton, let's talk.

Actually, let's not.

Confession.

I love Peloton workouts, but unpopular opinion: I can’t stand most of the instructors.

They’re all very competent when it comes to putting together killer workouts.

They just talk soooooooo much. 🤫🤫🤫

It’s a style that doesn’t work for me.

Case in point.

Because in my world … during a 150 min practice someone talked and/or I had the opp to talk for maybe 10 total.

I got used to that.

I noticed my thoughts.

I listened to my body.

I figured out homework problems.

I rummaged through friendship/relationship situations.

I strategized how to attack the set and/or get faster as it went on.

I silently cussed out my coach for the set (when it wasn’t my day).

Or I completely zoned out and didn’t focus on a darn thing.

It wasn’t silent. There just wasn’t a ton of outside input. And that became a part of my workout success formula.

Most of the Peloton instructors’ general styles contradicts all of that.

Doesn’t make them or their approach wrong. Definitely annoying to me, but not wrong.

So I learned to adjust.

I avoid certain ones all together (bc I just can’t).

I turn some all the way down and just follow the prompts on the screen.

I can figure out a way to make it work because I know what works for me.

I’ve consciously become aware of MY success formula … unique to me and constantly open to adjustment bc I am.

Others may really enjoy the talking and motivation, and it’s a key ingredient of their success formulas.

That’s the best thing about success formulas. There’s no one size fits all.

Whether you’re an athlete (active or retired), a coach, or a parent do you know the key components of your success formula?

Psssst… we help with that 😉
