How to Have the Mindset of a Major League Closer
Even if you've never step foot on a mound.
So I’ve done a thing…
… started a podcast.
It’s been on my bucket list for a REALLY long time, but for whatever reason I never ran after it.
Until earlier this year … it finally felt like the right time.
Remember how I said I have to feel it vs. think it.
I had thought of it for a while but something about it just didn’t feel right.
Then one day it did. I have no idea why or how. It just did. (That’s a HUGE part of my success formula, i.e. when it’s a HELL YES - get after it immediately).
So I ran with it. And what’s more, I’m partnering with an AWESOME team to make sure it’s done right!
Without further ado …
Here’s to the official LAUNCH of the Beyond the Win Podcast.
The show for athletes - at any stage of the game - HS, college, pro, transition, or several years past retirement and working as a professional in something other than sport - to talk all about what it means to build your own success formula.
You’ll hear from guests across all sports - baseball to soccer to football to extreme skiing and everything in between; from athletes to coaches to administrators and all the other powerful positions and perspectives within and across the athletic world.
It’s a guest list of experts who have been there and done that and want to share their words of wisdom so you can pick out the things that might work for you. Things you might want to try to see if they work in your success formula!
If they do, GREAT! Keep them.
If not, then just move on.
And the best part about it?! You don’t have to play the sport of the guest to get something out of it. Sports is transcendent. That means no matter the game, all athletes face the same challenges, they just look a little different whether they’re on a track, field, court, pool, or mountain.
This show literally has something for everyone because there is no one right way to play the game.
Ep1: Me introducing the show and what you can expect
Ep2: Charlie Ruiz - former closing pitcher for the Colorado Rockies (who also happens to be a dear friend). He brings such a unique and powerful perspective on what it means to unequivocally own the position you’ve been given and how to stay in the game mentally … when all eyes (and pressure) are on you to finish what the rest of the team started.
Like. Subscribe. Leave us a review. You know the drill.
THANK YOU so much for your time, attention, and energy. NONE of this would be possible without you - the reason this company even exists. You are an incredible group and we’ll stop at nothing to give you the knowledge, insights, and nuggets to support you in finding the success formula that works for you ON and OFF the field.
Enjoy the listen!
