Do You *Really* Want it?

Well then here's what you gotta do

I get a lot of athletes coming to me with big dreams. And it’s amazing! It’s important to have something to work toward. Something that puts you outside of your comfort zone with the potential of a massive pay off.

But here’s my question… do you REALLY want it?

If you do, then what are you doing to get there? I don’t mean double, triple extra practices or overdoing everything, pushing yourself to injury and burnout.

What are you doing other than just showing up to practice? Because that’s table stakes (i.e. your entry fee - something that just gets you in the door).

You aren’t just any athlete. You’re YOU. And you want more. That’s how why you’re here. That’s how we know each other.

When you really want to achieve those monumental goals, you have no choice but to do the work.

It’s not going to just fall in your lap.

Be dedicated. Be intentional. Be committed.

So this week you’re invited to grow your practice. Pick one thing. Doesn’t have to be big. But make it something that gets you closer to that big goal and do it consistently. In a couple weeks, pick another and keep stacking them.

And BTW…

There are some things you can do that don’t add more practice time to your schedule. You can do this by maximizing your rest time. Some suggestions:

  • focusing on the mental and emotional part of your work outside of practice

  • doing things that bring you joy (besides your sport)

If you need an accountability partner, we’ve got one for you. We love nothing more than to watch you smash those goals because you did the work.

All it takes is some courage, commitment, and consistency to get there.

Keep up the amazing work,
Lauren
