Become a Successful College Athlete

And beyond ...

🎙️🚨🏊🏼‍♂️ NEW PODCAST ALERT🏊🏼‍♂️🚨🎙️

It’s never a boring time when swimmers come together … at least for us anyway. If you’ve never been a part of the swimming world, it can be challenging to wrap your head around. And understandably so …

It's in a totally different environment (water vs. land).

Swimmers are a bit off their rockers. (Who else knowingly gets up before the crack of dawn to jump in a cold pool)?

They constantly smell like chlorine (and actually REALLY like it).

All of the toxic fumes (i.e. bleach) can have an effect. We can’t breathe and we get a little loopy.

Every sport has their things, and if you’ve never done it, it can feel like a totally different world. Case in point, we’ve been working with a lot of 🏐🏐 teams lately and it’s a TOTALLY different world with a lot to learn and get used to.

But the great thing about sports is that no matter what you play or have played, it all connects. We understand one another and enjoy learning something from our respective experiences.

So without further ado, meet Edgar Crespo. Native Panamanian who came to the US to swim in college and who also swam for his home country in the ‘08, ‘12, and ‘16 Olympics. He’s now a head coach for a club team in Atlanta working with age group swimmers to support their athletic dreams.

The huge takeaway from Edgar’s episode is the mindset switch from athlete to coach. Check it out here: Spotify and YouTube.

Here are some of the other highlights:

  • Going from international competitor to NCAA athlete

  • Building effective relationships with athletes

  • Supporting athletes in getting to college

Tune in and share the episode with anyone you think will benefit from Edgar’s message. Thanks, as always, for your continued support and love for us and our guests. We couldn’t do this without you!
